In Hemming Village, close to Porter Park and the Brigham Young University-Idaho campus is Gator Jack’s. They serve sandwiches, soups, salads, as well as some munching options like fries and nachos. Their location makes them a great spot to order take-out. Even without COVID-19 restricting dine-in, you might want to order takeout from Gator Jack’s. It’s the perfect spot to grab something quick if you are on your way to a university intramural game, campus for a few hours of studying, or the park to play.

Gator Jack’s sandwiches are incredible and customizable. The menu has a wide selection of sandwiches for customers to choose from, like a BLT, a French dip, Reuben, and a chicken salad sandwich. Customers can change the sandwich toppings to their liking and they can choose what size they want.

Red Rabbit Grill

Staying at home and staring into your fridge all day can make you feel bored with your food. Luckily, Red Rabbit Grill has a menu full of lunch and dinner options to satisfy your hunger and keep you from having to cook. You can call in for a pick-up order, or you can use the Doordash app and have your meal delivered right to your door.

Red Rabbit Grill serves sandwiches, wraps, salads, burgers, steak, and other entrees. Their sandwiches, wraps, and burgers can all be prepared gluten-free and they come with delicious rosemary skinny fries or regular French fries. Steaks and entrees are served with a dinner roll and two sides. Some side dishes include fries, crispy onion straws, mashed potatoes, veggies, or a dinner salad. The Pit BBQ

The Pit BBQ is a newer addition to the Rexburg community and is offering curbside pickup or free delivery within five miles of their store (which is located near Dominos and Book Viking). All you need to do is call in and place your order. But good luck trying to decide...all their menu options look delicious!

Kainoa’s Hawaiian Grill

Are you dreaming of a Hawaiian vacation? Or at least not making dinner tonight? Kainoa’s Hawaiian Grill menu will transport you to paradise. If you haven’t been to Kainoa’s Hawaiian Grill, you are missing out on amazing salads, wraps, bowls, sandwiches, and popular Hawaiian meals. Some of their popular choices are teriyaki chicken bowls, fish and chips, chicken katsu, misoy chicken, and the “wipeout,” which is a sample of the five types of meat they serve.

Kainoa’s is right across from Porter Park, making it a popular destination for takeout meals as people enjoy their time at the park. You can call in your order and pick it up through their drive-thru window, walk-in and order, or you can order through Doordash.

Doorzza

You can’t go wrong with ordering pizza, and Doorzza has some of the best in town! Plus, they deliver for free! You can order online to see their complete menu of wings, chicken sandwiches, pasta, and pizza. They make a BBQ ranch pizza with chicken, bacon, purple onions, and tomatoes called the Ariana, as well as a meat lover’s pizza called the Ron Swanson. Redd’s Grill

Redd’s Grill is located at the Teton Lakes Golf Course in Rexburg. Their seating area gives customers a view of the golf course, though, since the COVID-19 outbreak, their dining area has been closed. However, they are still serving takeout or curbside food and allow delivery through Doordash.

If you are craving breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Redd’s Grill serves it all. For breakfast, they serve meals such as biscuits & gravy, an omelet, or french toast. Their lunch and dinner options include signature burgers, wraps, and gourmet sandwiches. Don’t forget to check out their appetizers when you order. Some of the appetizers they serve are fries, tater tots, onion rings, cheesy jalapeno rolls, and deep-fried mac & cheese. With so many delicious, fresh, and affordable options, you can’t go wrong with any of the items on the menu.

Original Thai

Original Thai is a hole in the wall favorite for many people in Rexburg. The little restaurant is sandwiched between a stairwell and the Romance Theater on Main Street. However, the dining spot is small and can get overly crowded. That, along with the dining restrictions from COVID-19 makes it appealing to order take-out from Original Thai.

Original Thai has a menu stocked with almost every Thai meal you could crave--like their drunken noodles… yum. They serve other specialties like pad Thai, curry, stir fry, and more. Blister’s BBQ

Sure, having a restaurant in a gas station is a little unorthodox, but who cares as long as it’s delicious? Blister’s BBQ is located in Mother Hibbard’s Country Store at the Mobil gas station on the west end of Rexburg. While the atmosphere is a little strange, the menu more than makes up for it--plus, you can order your meal to-go.

Blister’s BBQ has some of the best barbeque food in the area. Their menu includes pulled pork sandwiches, burgers, and ribs, all barbecued to perfection. If you are a fan of meat, this is the place for you, but they serve more than just meat. They also have a variety of delicious sides like coleslaw, fried pickles, or waffle fries. It may seem like a bit of an adventure ordering food from a gas station, but the meal you’ll enjoy at Blister’s BBQ is worth it.
