Best Dine-In Restaurants in Rexburg

Whether you moved to Rexburg to attend the university or you are visiting, here are some dine-in options that will blow you away. Rexburg may be a small town, but they have some excellent food options.

Da Pineapple Grill

Have you been reminiscing about your trip to Hawaii lately? Or are you in need of a vacation? Da Pineapple Grill, just two blocks from Brigham Young University-Idaho campus, can satisfy your Hawaiin memories while providing the ease and comfort of a vacation. Da Pineapple Grill serves Hawaiin comfort food, a variety of sushi options, and specialty drinks.

The specialty drinks are non-alcoholic but include a pina colada, a mango twist, a strawberry lemonade, and more. Their food menus are bursting with so many options for entrees and sushi, that you’ll have to come back again to try different meals! If you are stopping by for lunch, they have a lunch menu that will support your wallet and stomach. Some recommended meals here are the beef broccoli and the Hawaiian chicken curry though you might also need to buy a sushi roll to go with your meal; some of these rolls are a Da Pineapple Grill specialty, so you won’t find them anywhere else. While you are at it, check out their dessert menu!

Casa De Ochoa

Just next to Da Pineapple Grill is Casa De Ochoa. If you aren’t in the mood for Hawaiian food, check out Casa De Ochoa and their amazing, homestyle Mexican food. The owners of Casa De Ochoa moved from California to Idaho and brought with them a little taste of Mexico, and it is delicious! Casa de Ochoa is one of those restaurants you could sit in for hours. The orange painted walls and tissue-paper banners transport you to a spot much sunnier and warmer than Rexburg, Idaho.

Not only will the feelings of the room make you want to stay, but so will the food! If you’ve never had a California burrito or carne asada fries, Casa De Ochoa’s will change your life! Their menu is packed with other mouth-watering Mexican food favorites like tacos, tortas, burritos, nachos, and quesadillas. If you want quality Mexican food, check out Casa De Ochoa.

Fresco Kitchen and Grill

If you are staying at Springhill suites, you won’t be able to ignore the chic restaurant on the property, Fresco Kitchen and Grill. From the moment you enter the doors of Fresco’s, you’ll be excited to eat. The bright lighting, wooden booths, and industrial decor are welcoming and stylish.
While the ambiance is hip, the food has just as much flair. Fresco’s has a diverse menu, with everything from pasta to burgers to pizza! Their menu and the variety of food they serve will keep everyone in your party happy. They serve food all day, with some breakfast options like cinnamon French toast, a breakfast sandwich, or all you can eat pancakes. However, the lunch and dinner menu is especially appetizing. Be sure to check out some of their Fresco favorites, like apple walnut salad, buffalo chicken pizza, the Fresco pizza, Fresco burger, grilled salmon, and chicken alfredo.

Adam's Mongolian Grill

For fans of Asian food, Adam’s Mongolian Grill is one of the top spots in Rexburg. Adam’s Mongolian Grill is not only delicious but it also gives their diners a fun experience by allowing them to create their own noodle bowl.

Each person gets to choose the meats, veggies, noodles, and sauces for their meal and then watch as it all comes together on the grill. If you’ve ever wanted to try fun combinations of veggies, noodles, and sauces in your food, this is the place to try it. If you have some picky eaters in your company, this could be a good spot where they can try something new while still staying in their comfort zone.

They have three bowl sizes for you to choose from. You’ll be surprised by how much you can pack into a small-sized bowl, so if you get a large bowl, plan on sharing or having leftovers. You can also order sides like spring rolls and potstickers to accompany your meal. Making a meal at Adam’s Mongolian Grill is entertaining and tasty! Adam’s Mongolian Grill is right next to the Fat Cat’s theater, so grab a bite to eat before catching your movie or bowling.

The Hickory

The Hickory is a popular spot in Rexburg. Also located next to Fat Cat’s Theater, you can guarantee that it will be busy each night of the weekend. The Hickory is a smokehouse, so it specializes in steaks and burgers, though they also serve a variety of sandwiches made with their smoked meats. The Hickory has a country charm to it, with its wood and tin decor and drinks served in mason jars. While you enjoy your meal, be sure to try one of their custom drinks! I recommend any of their flavored lemonades.

If you are in a hurry to dig into something scrumptious, order one of their appetizers like rattlesnake tails, cheddar cheese and jalapeno stuffed potato, or a plate of gem state nuggets-- fried cornbread puffs stuffed with cream cheese, bacon, jalapeno, and corn. Otherwise, you’ll have to drool over the menu until your food arrives. The food at the Hickory is divine. You can pick from steaks, ribs, burgers, sandwiches, or even baked potatoes. Each option on the menu is sure to satisfy.

Righteous Slice

Located in Hemming Village, just a block from campus is Righteous Slice. Righteous Slice is possibly the coolest pizza place in Rexburg, designed to look like a New York restaurant serving authentic Italian pizza. The restaurant takes up two stories, with the kitchen on the bottom with a few tables, and more seating upstairs. The upstairs windows give you a fun view of Porter Park and the rest of Hemming Village, or, if you aren’t facing the windows, you’ll see a huge, colorful mural of their name, “Righteous Slice.”

While they serve paninis and salads, the most popular reason people come to Righteous Slice is to try their pizzas. The most popular pizza at Righteous Slice is the Bee Sting, with crushed red peppers, assorted meats, and local honey drizzled on top. It is spicy, so make sure you have a drink to go with it. If you are still hungry for more, you can try one of their incredible dessert pizzas.

Original Thai

While there are many steakhouses, pizza places, and burger joints in Rexburg, there is only one Thai restaurant. Original Thai may be your only option for local Thai food, but it’s delicious nonetheless. They are located right next to the Romance Theater on Main Street and are open for lunch and dinner. Their restaurant has limited seating but is quaint and comfortable. Their food is also available for takeout, so if there is no room to sit or you’d rather enjoy your meal from your home, you can order to go.

Original Thai’s menu is full of delicious options and specialties like pad Thai, curry, stir fry, and more. The meals are filling and yet so good you’ll want to come back for more. This restaurant is one of my favorites in Rexburg. If you are looking for delicious Asian food and a subtle vibe to enjoy it in, try Original Thai.

Make your Rexburg visit a memorable one by dining in at one of the best restaurants in town.
